BioI am Clifford John Mace and was bron in Luton and Dunstable General Hospital on 18th October 1983.
I am 99% gay but I can't quite seem to 'come out' to my family. Myself and my family are RC.
I am right wing on fiscal policy and believe that the welfare state could be safely dismantled in the United Kingdom.
On Foreign Policy I belive that the UK should act in an independant manner and stay with America. But if occasionally we need to tell America to go swivel we should but lets not get carried away and become France. I also believe in a widening of the EU rather than enlargement of the EU and would admit all of Eastern Europe to the EU.
On Home affairs I believe in an open, liberal, secular society with minimal interference from the state.
In short a Thatcherite without the pro White-Middle Class bigotry. But alas I still find myself voting for the Conservative Party.
I love trains and railways, my ideal holiday would be to travel the Trans-Siberian Railway from Saint Petersburg to Vladivostock. I love traveling Europe by train and so far have traveled about 1/2 of the UK rail network and have travelled from London to Berlin return via Paris on the outward and Bruxles on the return. Next summer I am hoping to travel from London to Istnabul for the EUDC at Koc (pronounced Koch) Univeristy on the European side of the Dardenelles. I am hoping more so to be able to take the Trans-Asia express to Tehran and visit Iran before we move in and bring democracy.
As mentioned above I am involved with the EUDC (European Univeristies Debating Council) as I am registrar. This doesn't involve much work but I enjoy the title.
I am also studying to be a Secondary School Science Teacher at the University of Edge Hill in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
I attended the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and I got a 2.2 BEng in Marine Technology with hons in Naval Architecture. I made many friends there and really enjoy Newcastle upon Tyne. I has to be the UK's best 'small city'.
I like to think of myself as a liberal well educated, well rounder person who is more of a reneaisance man learing a bit of everything from: Art, History, Law, Science, Literature, Politics, Engineering and Travel. In this I hope I have succeded through my debating at University where I had great fun and made more friends than I could have thought possible.
